SUMMARY:FREE AGC Safety & Health Town Hall
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this virtual\, quarterly town hall is to communicate key safety and health issues and challenges\, as well as discuss enforcement\, regulatory\, and outreach activities at the national and local levels. Open to all AGC members and Chapters\, the meeting also provides an opportunity for industry professionals from various sectors to share best practices\, discuss emerging safety trends\, and collaborate on ways to improve safety across the entire construction industry. Please note that these sessions will not be recorded for distribution. \nSpeakers Kevin CannonSenior Director\, Safety\, Health & Risk Management AGC of AmericaKevin is the Senior Director of Safety\, Health\, and Risk Management at the Associated General Contractors of America\, with 27 years of experience in safety and health and 19 years specifically within the construction industry. For the past 16 years at AGC\, he has functioned as the primary liaison on federal safety and health regulations\, providing expert guidance and insight on regulatory matters that affect the industry. More recently\, his role expanded to include responsibility for tracking broader risk management challenges\, including issues related to liability\, insurance\, and enterprise-level risk exposure. Between 2011   2025\, Kevin served on the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH)\, which advises the Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA on standards\, policies\, and regulations affecting the construction industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Hygiene Management from Millersville University and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP)\, credentialed by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). Kevin also holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation. Kevin was awarded the NSC Distinguished Service to Safety Award in 2025\, the council's highest individual honor.
