About the Workshop

Join the Primavera P6 Basics workshop, designed to give you a strong foundation in building and managing project schedules. Through guided instruction and hands-on practice, you’ll learn how to create, organize, and update schedules using one of the construction industry’s leading project management tools.This course provides a step-by-step introduction into creating a construction schedule in Primavera P6. You’ll learn how to set up a project file, build a work breakdown structure, add activities, apply logic and constraints, create calendars, and account for weather days.

P6 is the industry standard for managing complex construction projects, including many federal jobs. By the end of this workshop, you’ll feel confident building schedules, generating reports, and applying scheduling best practices to keep your projects on track.

        Workshop Outcomes

  • Create and manage a project schedule in P6, including WBS, logic, constraints, and calendars.
  • Develop reports and layouts that communicate your plan.
  • Strengthen your understanding of construction scheduling principles.

Technology and Participation
For the classroom:
– Please have Zoom downloaded.
– Computer with dual monitor preferred.
– Laptop is good with a separate tablet to access the materials.


For Participation:
– Camera, built in or added on and ready to stream to the classroom.
– Headphones or earbuds with microphones are preferred.
– Each student should be on their own computer/laptop/tablet.
– **Ensure that Primavera P6 software is installed, up-to-date, and logged in. Participants are required to have this software ready to use. There is no free trial offered for this software.

Diana Hagan

Diana Hagan graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in Construction Management. She built her construction management foundation at Messer, serving as Superintendent/Project Manager for projects ranging from University of Kentucky dormitories to Rupp Arena. She has also taught construction management at Bluegrass Community & Technical College.

Diana is the Director of Project Controls & Training at ACE Consulting Company. With her contributions, ACE Consulting Company has earned a spot on the Inc 500 list for two consecutive years.

Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be given to cancellations made 14 calendar days prior to the class kick-off. After such time, no refunds will be given. Replacements are acceptable and must be submitted via email to rockkie.dunton@agc.org.

AGC reserves the right to cancel programs up to 10 days prior to the start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met.
