The Work in Progress (WIP) or Job Schedule is at the heart of financial accounting for construction companies. Learn the key elements of this report and how they relate to each other. Learn how the percent complete method of revenue recognition works.

Session 1, September 9, 2025

The Work in Progress (WIP) or Job Schedule is at the heart of financial accounting for construction companies. Learn the key elements of this report and how they relate to each other. Learn how the percent complete method of revenue recognition works. This course will also discuss the difference between markup and margin, and how to book the monthly WIP adjustment entry to revenue.


Session 2: WIP Analysis, September 16, 2025

This two-hour course takes a deeper dive into the Work in Progress (WIP) or Job Schedule to help construction financial managers know what to look for on a WIP report.

Identify signs of potential problem jobs. Gain an understanding of how changes in projections affect monthly results. Learn how to account for loss provisions.

The virtual training course is live and instructor-led, instructions to join the training will be provided to participants upon registration. 

Pricing

AGC/GCA Member:  $75 / $150

Non-member:  $100 / $200

The cost for the series is $150 per person for members and $200 per person for non-members. A-la-carte pricing for individual units is $75 per person for members and $100 per person for non-members. Participants must successfully complete both units to qualify for the digital credential, certificate, and hard hat sticker.
