Description

The GCA Environment Committee invites construction industry professionals to attend its upcoming meeting on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 10:00am, focused on integrating environmental best practices into construction projects.

The agenda will address critical topics such as tree protection during construction—including pre-construction planning, permitting, and contractor oversight—as well as risk and health assessments, tree inventory and mapping, and structural testing. The meeting will also cover environmental requirements like wildlife and vegetation surveys, monitoring for threatened and endangered species, and compliance training, including decontamination procedures for invasive species. In addition, the discussion will include strategies to support plant health, such as diagnosis, treatment options, and compaction mitigation.

This session is especially valuable for project managers, site supervisors, and firms involved in site development and land management. Participation is encouraged to stay informed and compliant with evolving environmental standards in construction.
