About the Course

Lean Construction is driven to minimize costs and maximize value on each project completed, challenging all stakeholders to develop and apply better ways to manage the overall construction process. 

AGC Edge Lean Construction Education Program is designed to educate construction professionals at all experience levels to develop the tools needed to build lean. The highly interactive virtual program provides instruction via Zoom and training to prepare construction industry professionals at all levels to learn the building blocks necessary to transform their projects and companies into a lean operating system. 

After participants complete all seven units in the program, they become eligible to sit for an exam to earn the Certificate of Management – Lean Construction (CM-Lean).

These seven units build on each other to progressively cover a range of topics essential to Lean Construction, including:

⦁    Variation and pull in production
⦁    Lean Workstructuring, supply chains, and assembly
⦁    Production management
⦁    Management by values
⦁    Problem-solving principles and tools

Unit 5 – Lean Supply Chain and Assembly
Unit 6 – Lean Design and Pre-construction
Unit 7 – Problem-solving Principles and Tools

LCEP Learning Objectives

Courses will be offered online via the Zoom platform, a webcam is required for participation. Registration costs include all course participant’s materials.

Classes are held every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from July 10th to July 26th from 11 AM – 3 PM ET.

Meet Your Course Instructor:

Dawlat Elmosalmi | MSc., PMP, CM-LEAN

Lean Implementation Manager

Dawlat has over 14 years of experience in Lean Implementation, Project Management, and Architectural Projects. Certified by Engineering & consulting offices accrediting committee in Qatar with UPDA grade A. She got her master’s degree in 2014 in Implementing Lean practice in BIM Projects. PMP Certified Professional. She implemented Lean in design projects for the first time in the Middle East in a design consultancy firm in 2013. Her academic experience as a Teaching Assistant at the American University in Cairo in 2014 and as a Lean Specialist/Coach at Engineering Consultants Group in Egypt and Qatar has excelled her skills as a Lean Instructor and mentor.

Dawlat was one of the first CM-LEAN Instructors in Qatar and one of the first Lean leaders in the Middle East, promoting Lean thinking and Lean Construction by being a speaker at several conferences since 2015. In addition, she was one of the founding core teams of Lean Construction Institute in Qatar in 2019.

Dawlat is an active Instructor for the AGC LCEP Course in Qatar and has instructed the course several times for public and private organizations.

Pricing

Cost for the program is $2,450.00 for GCA members and $3,425.00 for non-members. Includes all course participant’s manuals.

Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be given to cancellations made 14 calendar days prior to the class kick-off. After such time, no refunds will be given. Replacements are acceptable and must be submitted via email to rockkie.dunton@agc.org.

AGC reserves the right to cancel programs up to 10 days prior to the start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met.
